Legionella

Legionella are a group of pathogenic, or disease causing, bacterial which are found in a diverse number of environments. Exposure to legionella contaminated water may cause legionellosis, a group of diseases including pneumonia. Similar to other bacteria, legionella in contaminated water sources is tasteless, colorless, and odorless making laboratory testing the only absolute method of qualitative and quantitative identification.
